Ajman Police launches an awareness campaign about the dangers of driving without a license

The Ajman Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, launched an awareness campaign entitled “Driving without a License,” with the aim of enhancing traffic awareness of the dangers of driving vehicles without obtaining a driver’s license, and establishing commitment to safe driving requirements, in order to preserve the safety of road users. Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said that the campaign comes within the efforts of Ajman Police to prevent traffic accidents and protect lives and property, stressing that driving without a license exposes the driver to legal accountability, and poses a threat to his life and the lives of others, because he does not meet the necessary qualification requirements to drive the vehicle safely. He explained that the campaign focuses on educating drivers about the importance of ensuring the validity of driving licenses and renewing them before they expire, and the necessity of the license category being compatible with the type of vehicle they drive, in addition to sending awareness messages to residents and visitors regarding the requirements for approved driving licenses, and ensuring that they are met before driving the vehicles. The Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department added that the campaign includes awareness materials in Arabic and English, highlighting the dangers of driving without a license and the resulting legal consequences, and enhancing drivers’ knowledge of their responsibilities towards their own safety and the safety of others. Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi called on community members to adhere to traffic rules, and not to allow those who do not have driving licenses to drive their vehicles, stressing the importance of the family’s role in educating children about the dangers of this behavior, and enhancing shared responsibility in making the roads safer.
